There is no truer phrase than “Club Management is in Chris’ blood.” Four consecutive generations of Hamptons have been immersed in the Club Management field throughout the United States and Canada over the last 90 years. Chris is extremely proud of his heritage and to keep his family’s legacy going strong. Chris started his 20+ year career in Club Management at The Country Club in Pepper Pike, OH. He then spent nine years as the Assistant General Manager of Oakmont Country Club outside of Pittsburgh, PA, where he helped plan and execute the 2003 US Amateur and the 2007 US Open Championship. Most recently, Chris spent four years as the General Manager/COO of Lakewood Country Club in Westlake, OH, before joining the team at Sycamore Hills Golf Club.

PGA Head Golf Professional, Tim Frazier is in his 26th year. Tim's playing experience at Sycamore Hills Golf Club includes 1996, 2007, 2009, 2012 and 2014 PGA Professional National Championships, 2022 PGA Senior Professional National Championship and 12 Indiana Section PGA Tournament wins. Among his accomplishments, Tim was named the 2004 Merchandiser of the Year, 2005 Teacher of the Year, 2016 Golf Professional of the Year, and 2019 Bill Strausbaugh Award winner. Tim has given back to the game as a Section Board Member from 2002–2014, is a Past President of the Indiana Section PGA 2010–2012, and participated on the National Golf Instruction Committee, National Junior Golf Committee, and National Membership Committee.

Although born and raised in Peoria, Illinois, John Thompson has spent the majority of his career calling the Hoosier state his home. After receiving a turf grass degree from Southern Illinois University, John spent six years as an Assistant Superintendent at Fort Wayne Country Club. He was then hired as the Superintendent of the famed Glendarin Hills Golf Club in Angola, Indiana, where he first led the grow in of the course and then continued as their course Superintendent for the next twelve seasons. In 2013, John was invited to come back to Fort Wayne as the course Superintendent of Sycamore Hills Golf Club. John is proud to be a past president of the Indiana Golf Course Superintendent Association and a regular speaker at GCSAA local and regional events on a variety of topics relating to the turf industry.

Maria was born and raised in Fairfield, Ohio and later attended college in Northeast Ohio. While attending Kent State University’s Hospitality Management program, Maria had the opportunity to intern at one of Ohio’s premier Clubs, The Country Club (Pepper Pike, OH). In 2021, shortly after graduation, Maria moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she accepted the position of Assistant Clubhouse Manager of Sycamore Hills Golf Club. Three short seasons later, Maria was promoted to the position of Clubhouse Manager of Sycamore Hills. Maria is looking forward to this new challenge of both continuing and improving upon a culture of service excellence at the Club.

Born in Huntington, and raised in Fort Wayne, Aaron is an Indiana native who found his passion for the culinary arts while interning as a Garde Manger Chef at Gasparilla Inn and Club on Boca Grande Island. Aaron graduated from Purdue University Fort Wayne with a degree in Hospitality Management and has worked in the culinary industry since his first job at 16. Aaron cooked his way through different kitchens, acquiring new skills and insights at each one, to become the best chef he could possibly be. Chef Aaron started at Sycamore Hills Golf Club as a PM Grill Chef in 2019, and quickly earned the position of Sous Chef. Since then, Aaron has received two additional promotions of Executive Sous Chef, and most recently Executive Chef. Chef Aaron has dedicated his efforts to helping create an unforgettable culinary experience for the members and guests of Sycamore Hills and a welcoming and engaging culture for its team.
