Championship Legacy

In 2009, a new era of championship golf dawned at Sycamore Hills when the Club hosted its first National Championship—the 8th USGA Women’s State Team Championship. The tournament was such a success that it opened the door to future USGA Championships being held at Sycamore Hills. Sycamore Hills was then awarded the opportunity to host the 2010, 2011, and 2012 Junior PGA Championship, which featured our country’s top boys and girls junior golfers. Our championship legacy continued to grow in 2013 when the Club hosted the USGA Girls Junior Championship. That same year, the Club also hosted the Inaugural Hotel Fitness Championship, a Web.com Tour Finals Event. This event helped determine the 50 players who would receive their PGA Tour cards that year. The Club continued to host the Hotel Fitness Championship in 2014 and 2015.

In 2018, the Club hosted its first National Pro-Scratch Invitational. This annual tournament hosted by Sycamore Hills features invites to many of the top Club Professionals across the United States, retired PGA Tour Professionals, Korn Ferry Tour Professionals, PGA Tour Canada Professionals, and Professionals on the Mexican PGA Tour. These Professionals bring a scratch amateur partner to battle it out in two-person teams for the $75,000 tournament purse over three days.
