Christopher Hampton

There is no truer phrase than “Club Management is in Chris’s blood.” Four consecutive generations of Hamptons have been immersed in the Club Management field throughout the United States and Canada over the last 90 years. Chris is extremely proud of his heritage and to keep his family’s legacy going strong. Chris started his 20+year career in Club Management at The Country Club in Pepper Pike, OH. He then spent nine years as the Assistant General Manager of Oakmont Country Club outside of Pittsburgh, PA, where he helped plan and execute the 2003 US Amateur and the 2007 US Open Championship. Most recently, Chris spent four years as the General Manager/COO of Lakewood Country Club in Westlake, OH, before joining the team at Sycamore Hills Golf Club.
John Thompson
Grounds Superintendent
Originally, from Peoria, Illinois, John has a turf grass degree from University of Southern Illinois and past president of Indiana Golf Course Superintendent Association. Previously in 1996-2001 he worked at Ft. Wayne Country Club, and was the superintendent at Glendarin Hills Golf Club in Angola, Indiana the past 12 years before becoming part of the Sycamore Hills Golf Club team.
Tim Frazier
PGA Head Golf Professional
PGA Head Golf Professional, Tim Frazier is in his 21st year. Tim's playing experience at Sycamore Hills Golf Club includes 1996, 2007, 2009, 2012 and 2014 National Club Professional Championships and 12 Indiana Section PGA Tournament wins. Among his accomplishments, Tim was named the 2004 Merchandiser of the Year, 2005 Teacher of the Year, 2016 Golf Professional of the Year and 2019 Bill Strausbaugh Award winner. Tim has given back to the game as a Section Board Member from 2002 - 2014, is a Past President of the Indiana Section PGA 2010 - 2012 and participated on the National Golf Instruction Committee, National Junior Golf Committee and National Membership Committee.
Alfredo Hildebrandt
Assistant General Manager
Alfredo, or Fredo for short, immigrated from Peru to the United States when he was 16 years old. Alfredo fell in love with Club Management while interning at some of the top clubs in NE Ohio, while studying to get his Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management at Kent State University. After completing his degree, Alfredo was hired as the Food & Beverage Manager at Lakewood Country Club in Westlake, OH. After two years of tremendous success with the Club’s food and beverage program, Alfredo was promoted to Clubhouse Manager, a role in which he continued to excel. In 2018, Alfredo was the recipient of the prestigious Wilmore H. Kendall Scholarship, an annual scholarship awarded by the national Club Foundation. Alfredo is excited to join the Sycamore Hills family where he plans on continuing to strive for service excellence.
Bob Kruse
Pro Emeritus
In 1989 Bob took the position as Head Golf Professional at Sycamore Hills Golf Club and in 1999 the Director of Golf Operations. During his career, Bob qualified and played in the 1968 PGA Championship, the 1972 National PGA Club Professional Championship and three national Senior Club Professional Championships. He is an eight-time U.S. Open Sectional Qualifier and a ten-time Indiana Challenge Cup Member. In addition to his many accomplishments, Bob was voted by his peers as the 1980 Golf Professional of the Year, 1996 Teacher of the Year, 1997 Merchandiser of the Year and in 2007 he received the Bill Strausbaugh Award.
